On August 24th, Faith Hill will perform a free concert in New Orleans, marking the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Sponsored by the Tide Loads of Hope program, Faith, a Mississippi native, will perform at the Mahalia Jackson Theater, which has been rebuilt since the devastating storm. Gulf radio stations will distribute the tickets.
Faith Hill is the new ambassador for its Tide Loads of Hope program that takes washer/dryers and does laundry for those people affected by disasters such as Katrina, California wild fires, and even the flood in Middle Tennessee in May.
