“Country is one of the most vibrant areas of music in America.” That’s what Fox executive Peter Rice thinks. So, he says Fox is creating a new country music awards show called the American Country Awards.
The very first show will be Monday, December 6 in Las Vegas. It will be broadcast the 2 hour show live on Fox. The ACA will follow the lead of the CMT Awards with fans voting for the winners!

This is AWESOME!!
Again, why is another country music show in VEGAS?? Nashville is losing award shows and this IS Music City! The Dove Awards have left Nashville and are now in Atlanta; the CMA’s were in NYC a few years ago. This is sad. It should be here. You don’t see the Academy Awards in Miami do you?
Not a fan of fan voting shows. It’s always pretty obvious who will win. But if my favorite artist performs on it, I will tune in for that.
