Carrie Underwood wrapped the first leg of her “Play On Tour” this past weekend in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada performing for nearly 400,000 fans since the launch on March 11th. Nearly all of the 54 shows sold-out throughout North America, bringing along special guests Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia. The “Play On Tour” will continue this fall with shows launching September 25th in Portland, Oregon.
Carrie will perform a handful of fairs and festival dates this summer and will resume the “Play On Tour” this fall on September 25th in Portland, Oregon with special guests Billy Currington and Sons of Sylvia. During the fall leg of the tour, 36 cents of every ticket sold will be donated to Save the Children’s United States Programs. This initiative was inspired by the “36 cents” written in the lyrics of her album track “Change,” which addresses how even the smallest bit of spare change that one might have can add up to make a difference and help “change” the world.

I am not a big Carrie Underwood fan, but I recently went to her concert and it was fine. I think Underwood fans would say it was great to awesome. Carrie and the lead singer of Sons of Sylvia sang a song together and it was awesome. That Sylvia son has an great/powerful voice; as powerful as Carries. It was the best song of the concert for me. Hopefully the Sons will have a bright future.
