OMG! Please pick me! I have always believed in going big in my life. I raised both of my children by this belief and am now helping to raise my grandson with this belief to.

Going big in life can be scary sometimes and it usually means that there are a lot of people around you telling you to do something else. Always follow your heart and do what you know is right. There will be mistakes made but they will only make you stronger. Dolly is a fantastic woman and a great role model. Thank you for this great opportunity.

  2. Amy W says:

I would love to win. Thanks for the contest and for great music.

  3. Steven B. says:

Well it leaves me out, since i have no transportation, good luck 2 the lucky winner..:)

  4. Nina says:

Well, go big is the same as go strong, right? Well I think so. I’ve been going strong since my bestfriend/uncle died back in ’05. & been going even stronger since my grandma died recently. And she was all for telling her grandkids to make huge accomplishments in life. And I have. Well, things that mean the most to me. And one was meeting Reba. That dream happened. Cause I tried REALLY hard. One of my others was to go to Dollywood believe it or not. My “go big” may seem silly, but I’m not put in this world to be a singer or anything like that. I go big to go for what I love most. & try to do that. And I’d just really like to win these tix. <3 my family knows I LOVE Dolly & have always wish to go to Dollywood but never could afford it :/

  5. Cheryl Wilson says:

I have been to Nashville a couple of times but we have not been able to make it to Dollywood yet, but it is definitely something I would be very interested in seeing!!!
I have heard so many good things about Dollywood, sure hope I win this!!!

  6. Sheila B says:

Going big to me means taking a chance. We went “big” when hubby wanted to start his own business. While it was scary to take that big chance its now 33 years later and his business has done very well.Going big meant working long hours and not always being able to do some of the things we wanted to do but our small business has provided a good life for us. I cant imagine not having taken our “big” chance.

  7. Laura says:

What “go big” means to me is doing something new that you are afraid of but believe it will be a good experience and put your everything in it. Usually, we learn the most important lessons, maybe about ourselves or people in general, when we do something that is scary but exciting at the same time and move out of our comfort zone.
I would love to win this. My family and I visited Dollywood frequently when I was little. I have some great memories of our visits.
Dolly seems like she would be such a sweet person and it seems that fame hasn’t changed her over the years.

  8. Holly Sarah says:

I’ve not done anything crazy great or anything, but I try to ‘go big’ in all that I do. At least by doing that, I can be proud of myself whether I ultimately succeed or fail at the task at hand.

A recent example would be a 5K I ran in during CMAFEST. I am by no means a runner. I could stand to lose well over 50 lbs and while I can walk for miles and miles without getting winded, running is a whole other beast! I said I’d do it and do it, I did!! Granted, I did have to walk parts of it, but I RAN too! I would think I had to stop, but I would run just a little farther until my sides were aching. I originally doubted I’d finish, but I dug in and Finished the race!! For a great cause too, St. Judes!!

I also ‘go big’ in my love of concerts. I don’t let a little thing like Distance keep me from going to a concert I want to attend. I work extra hours or even sell crafts on ebay to make the $$ to go! Live in TN, but have been to concerts in VA, GA, MD, LA, MS, NC and will be going to see Reba in CT and NH soon!! I’m not going to sit and wait for them to come to me! I also do all these concerts and the traveling solo as my concert buddy, my mom is no longer with us! We had so much fun going to shows together! I don’t let that stop me though and know she wouldn’t want it to :)

Plus…I <3 Dollywood!! I have been there many times and just can't get enough of it! The crafts, rides and entertainment are amazing! Dolly did good :D . I have no problem getting there either…would LOVE to make the trip again :)

I have had a really hard time the past few years……….I moved to Tennessee for college. In the past three years I have totaled my car and been homeless and then taken in by a family that did not treat me well in return then kicked me out w/no car and no money. But through all this I have over come and as the quote says “go big or go home.” There was a kind family that has taken me in given me a roof over my head and I am now back in school and have a car……but I do not have a job, and can’t get a student loan for living expenses. I would love to go to Dollywood, it would be a nice getaway!

  11. Renee says:

10 years ago, I was 322 pounds. I was beside myself and decided it was truely time to lose weight. I had to keep up with my kids, and that was hard. Over the course of time my weight came down slowly. Then IT happened! In 2002 I met Keith Urban for the first time. I have the picture still, it inspires me to not return to that weight. I was 235 pounds and thought it was really good. I decided that I needed to get to a healthier weight. I bought a treddmill and started “running”. At first it took me 22 minutes to complete 1 mile. But I surged on. Not only did my weight go down as my milage increased while all the time running to my favorites of country music…I dreamed and had a plan. I wanted to run a 1/2 marathon. In 2005, I went to Nashville and ran the CMM 1/2 marathon. It was incredible.Tears in my eyes and all. I wanted more!!! But I was feeling so run-down all of the time and saw my doctor. 18 months later I was diagnosed with lupus and put on medications to stop the progression of my disease. I still wasn’t ready to give up on all the hard work I had accomplished, so in 2007 (after 4 more 1/2 marathons in Chicago) I ran the CMM FULL MARATHON (at a weight of 167). I was strong and confident! I truely showed me how strong the human mind can be! To overcome and lose almost 1/2 of my former self, control my lupus (which was causing joint pain & fatigue along with other symptoms) and reach for my dream. I ended up getting a tattoo of BELIEVE on my wrist, to remind myself not only to keep my faith in God alive in these trying times, but to believe in my own strength too.
If nothing else I hope my story will inspire others to allow their minds to BE STRONG and BELIEVE in their dreams.

  12. Misty says:

I think “go big” depends on the person but for us we feel like we do that everyday. My husband and I have been married for 14 years, we have three children, ages 16, 13 and 12. I have chosen to be a stay at home Mom to educate my children. We have chosen to be self employed, in these economic times it’s not easy. We decided to move from south Tennessee a few years ago to the beach on the fly. We didn’t know anybody there or how we would make a living. We lived there for 5 years. We just moved back to the Nashville area 3 years ago so that my husband could pursue his song writing dreams. All of our marriage we have taken risk and done things that were new to our families but we feel that we are succeeding at being a happy healthy family. I think we live big everyday because we are living and pursuing our dreams.

  13. Elle says:

I went “big” by moving 500 miles away from home to make my dream of working in the music business come true! I attended one of the top music business schools and graduated Magma Cum Laude last month. Next stop: career! If I don’t “go big” I’ll have to move back home. Haha. Funny, I’ve lived in Nashville for four years now, and still haven’t made it to Dollywood! Please let me win!!!

  14. Mary C. says:

I dearly love Dolly! She is one smart, talented, and sweet lady. Congrats to her on her 25 Years of Dollywood Celebration. As far as “going big” in my life, that chapter hasn’t yet opened. In the meantime, you can bet, I will keep my eyes wide open for any “go big” opportunity that may come my way.

My motto is “Go big or go home”. The latest “going big” thing I have done is deciding in one week to pack my three kids and myself and move back to Nashville. Nope, not a singer or songwriter or a musician of any sort. I just love this town and hated being anywhere but here :)

My husband and I took in my sister’s 3 children when they were in foster care. Instead of her being grateful, she has tried to “get even” with me. This decision has caused a big riff in the family with many of us not speaking now for years. I did right by the kids, so I have no trouble laying my head down at night. The only thing I regret is that my own children gave up a lot in the process. Since this “event” we lost our home of 14 years to foreclosure, lost our vehicle, found a new home and entered into a lease purchase agreement, only to find out after restoring the house and making it liveable, the person we signed contract with, was not the legal owner, so now we are looking at losing 2 homes in 2 years. My husband & I both lost our jobs but we continue to fight to give our son a happy childhood! I can’t sing or play an instrument, but I am determined to work in the music industry some day, some how! I’m not giving up on my dream….My motto has always been “If you’re gonna dream….dream big” so somwhat on the same note! Once we find out when we have to be out of our current home, and find a place to settle, I plan to return to school at the age of 40+ and persue my dream. I always make sure everyone else has what they need & help out, now it’s time to do what I need to make me happy! My husband never takes a break, always helps others (even when we can’t afford it)he once jumped in a moving car to save a woman who had passed out behind the wheel & never considered the consequences. We’ve had 2 vacations in 17 years (one of which he worked part time with his brother in law) So to take a trip with our son would be a welcome break from what we’ve endured the last 8 years! My husband deserves some downtime to enjoy life & his family. My son deserves to have a little fun!And I’d just enjoy a change of scenery for a day or two…..Where better to clear your mind and have fun than Pigeon Forge? Thanks for your consideration!

  18. Amberly says:

I’ve recently been able to go big in my life by taking on store manager duties at work and going to college full time. I live in an area where less than 15% of the population have a college degree. No females in my family have ever attended college either. I’m focused on breaking that cycle.

  19. Alea says:

I like to go “big” by looking for ways to help other people out – whether offer encouraging words when someone is disheartened, giving extra coupons to someone at a store who is buying something I have coupons for and don’t need, opening doors for people with their hands full or unable to do so (I amazed at the amount of mall doors without handicap accesible buttons!), donating items to charity causes, volunteering at my son’s school or even transporting others who don’t have any transportation of their own. There is just so many opportunities to help others out and give back to society even when you don’t have a lot of money (I definitely don’t that’s for sure!). The biggest reward is passing along the lesson to my kids to help others out when we can – it’s such a BIG lesson that could have a BIG effect on the world around us if we all helped one another out!
