Laura Bell Bundy Makes Grand Ole Opry Debut

Last Saturday night, Laura Bell Bundy’s dream came true when she made her Grand Ole Opry debut at the War Memorial Auditorium where Ernest Tubb, Minnie Pearl and bluegrass legend Bill Monroe all made their first Opry appearances. Opry member, John Conlee, who grew up just a few miles from Bundy’s hometown, introduced her to the packed house. Backstage Bundy met the legendary Charley Pride and Hall of Fame member Bill Anderson.

First, Laura performed a ballad from the Achin’ side of her two part album, Achin and Shakin’. For her second number, Laura put on her tap shoes and invited the Opry Squaredancers to join her on stage for the performance of her debut single, “Giddy On Up.”
