Three stadium concerts featuring the Eagles, Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban have been canceled, according to the Eagles’ website. No reason was given for the cancellations and refunds will be available at the place of purchase.
They were scheduled to perform at Citizens Bank Ball Park in Philadelphia on June 14 and at Hershey Stadium in Hershey, Pa., on June 15.
The National Park show in Washington, DC show was also cancelled.
There are tons of speculations swirling around the Internet as to why the shows are being cancelled. One website claims the Philadelphia show was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Some fans are speculating in online message boards that Dixie Chicks are playing “Divas” on the road and say enough seats aren’t being filled for their opening act slot. While others are saying drug problems for Eagles bassist Timothy Schmit is the reason for the cancellations.
In all of the digging I have done to try to find out the reason behind the cancellations it looks as if no one is pointing the finger at Keith Urban. Who knows why these things happen and some sources say more cancellations may occur.

They actually canceled a show prior to these shows in Washington DC. This was maybe a few weeks ago give or take a little. So that’s three out of eight shows canceled with the three acts. If it’s honestly an issue with an act wouldn’t it have been easier to just remove the said act from the bill and replace instead of canceling the shows? If it’s something major I’m willing to bet the rest of the dates will be canceled within the next week or so.
man am i glad i didn’t buy tickets to this show.
The Eagles were supposed to be in my area last week but had to cancel because singer Timothy Schmit had to have surgery of some sort so maybe that’s the reason. Not sure why Keith and the Dixie Chicks would have to cancel.
It is an Eagles show; if they cancell so do the supporting acts. I would bet the shows were cancelled due to low ticket sales. The price of the tickets were quite spendy. The promoters probably got greedy and their plan backfired. Not too many people are going to pay $225.00 for concert tickets, especially stadium tickets where the acoustics are terrible.
