With the announcement that CMA will be donating ALL proceeds from this year’s CMA Music Festival to charity to benefit music education in Metro Nashville Public Schools and flood relief for victims of the recent devastation, the Association is looking for volunteers for this year’s event, which will be held Thursday through Sunday, June 10-13, in downtown Nashville.

“Every hour that a person volunteers for the Festival represents savings that go directly to our schools and neighbors that need it most,” said CMA Chairman of the Board Steve Moore.

Anyone interested in volunteering can attend CMA’s first ever Volunteer Fair from 9:00 AM-Noon/CT, Saturday, May 15 at the CMA office at 1 Music Circle S., Nashville (TN, 37203). You may print out an application in advance at www.CMAfest.com, but it must be dropped off in person to apply.

There are some requirements to volunteer: You must be at least 18-years-old and in good physical health and able to work a minimum of two days during the Festival. Many of the jobs require standing for long periods, extensive walking, some light lifting, and outside duties in the heat (and possible rain). Jobs range from manning the information booths, to handing out product samples, to keeping the photo lines running smoothly. Some posts require a valid Tennessee driver license. Volunteers are also needed for the CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade on Wednesday, June 9. CMA will provide volunteers parking, event T-shirts, catering during working hours, and two tickets to one of the nightly shows at LP Field.
