Funny how Nashville is holding a telethon to help itself…Sure would be helpful if we could get this airing nationwide.

Other places have experienced floods of the same degree, or even worse and they didn’t get attention either……It’s not just Nashville. A few years ago in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois we wondered where the attention was for our devastation, we held our own benefits, we bagged our own sand, and we helped our own…..
I feel for what Nashville is going through, I’ve been there, lost a lot, and the “where is our media coverage” really is starting to sound like a bunch of babies.
Please don’t think that the rest of the nation does not care about Nashville. I live in Baltimore and am a huge fan of Keith Urban, so I have sent a contribution to Nashville through the Red Cross. I do wish that the telethon would be broadcast nationally, but I applaud Vince Gill for what he is doing. I know that the Nashville community will pull together in this time of tragedy. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I think this hits hard because the Country Music community has always rallied for all of us when we are hit. Just a couple years back Blake Shelton held 2 concerts here in Ada, OK to help out people who had fires and drought one year and flooding the next. They always come together. Text redcross to 90999 and pledge 10 bucks. I can’t do much, but I can do that. Maybe it will provide someone with water for a couple days!

The “Where is the National Media” cry WAS NOT started by Nashvillians. Most of the people that live in Nashville moved here from other states and this media movement was started by friends and family that live out of state that couldn’t find out what was going on because phone lines were down. I understand that other states have been through this and I felt awful for them too, but the difference here is most of the people that live in Nashville moved here from other states.
Sorry for repeating myself at the end. I copied and pasted and forgot to delete.
Keith Urban is always one of the first people to step up when people are in need. Seems like a great persson.
