Brad Paisley sat down with CMT Insider to discuss his infamous fall on stage. Brad took quite a tumble on his last song of his last night of the American Saturday Night tour.

And as I started to tumble – I realized – ok, I’m going down. And my pelvis hit the stage really hard – to the degree I’ve never had that kind of pain, where it just shot up my side and down my leg.

As I hit, I thought I’ve broken my hip…the first time I tried to get up it was just searing pain and then it was like ‘GET UP!!!’ – and in your mind you’re like – DON’T LAY HERE!!! You don’t want to lay here!

Brad is quite a trooper to finish-off the show. And, after getting the all-clear he immediately took to Twitter, asking fans for a video…which did soon surface.

I was watching it thinking well it doesn’t look as bad as it felt. The impact was the thing. It was the fact that one bone hit the stage. It was really, really great to see it. At that point, I was ready to laugh about it.

And laugh he did…especially when fans started leaving captions on his twitter about the twitpic of the absolutely massive bruise the fall left.

I have this awful bruise right here on my pelvis…and it’s the worst bruise I ever had in my life.
