Keith Urban announced today that Kris Allen will be joining him on select dates this summer. Kris and Keith performed “Kiss A Girl” on last years season of American Idol.

Bet it will be a good concert. I am hoping that Keith and Carrie Underwood team up again for a tour. I went to one of their concerts and it was amazing. It helps that I am a HUGE fan of them both. They are the BEST in country music!!!!!
Great news! I believe Keith will be a good mentor to Kris who is just beginning his career. Also, the fact that Keith would choose Kris says a lot about Kris and his music. Kris fans realize this is a great opportunity, so thank you Keith! On a Kris site someone questioned if Keith’s fans would accept Kris because Kris is more pop than country – though his music definitely has Southern roots – and the reply was that Keith’s fans are classy like Keith and will give Kris a chance. Kris’ fans are classy too, so the concerts should be a great time for all, an event you wouldn’t be afraid to take your kids to.
