46 year old rocker Bret Michaels (or more recently known as the reality star of Rock of Love) has decided to team up with 17 year Miley Cyrus for a song that is getting some attention from country radio.
The new song “Nothing to Lose” includes sexually suggestive lyrics that made me rather uncomfortable knowing that a minor was part of the recording.
Here are just a few of the lyrics of the song quoted from a US magazine interview with Bret:
“We both know better than this/Still we can’t resist/Slowly get undressed.” In the sensual chorus, they sing together: “Won’t you fall down on me/So close I can feel you breathe.”
In the US magazine interview Brett says: “I never sat down and said, ‘Look at the content. Look at the lyrical content … There is nothing I have to be defensive about,” “There is no reference to her. It’s not even a duet! I just thought it was a beautiful song.”
Apparently the idea for Miley to be included in the song came when Bret and Miley were in the studio working on her remake of Bret’s song “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”. Miley told Bret she thought the song was beautiful and she would love to add a few vocals and harmony to the song.

I don’t blame Miley for her disgusting ways. I blame her parents. They should not allow her to be around people like Bret Michaels or sing songs that have anything to do with this content. Gross.

Eww. Miley disgusts me already. And really, Bret Michaels? You’ve sunk that low to where you have to do a song with Miley Cyrus? That’s sad.
Sounds great! Get ur minds out of the gutter. They’re artists. Just get over it.
Not my favorite song, but I like it.I am goin to download it. I like Miley’s harmonizing. I know she is a minor, but let’s face it, she does not behave like one. I would not suggest little kids listen to this song, but perhaps this will expose Miley to an older crowd.
WAY too big of a deal being made about this! I like the song A LOT!!
It’s a song! At least she can carry a tune. A voice is a beautiful thing when it is used properly, age isn’t an issue here.
