“We Are the World” remake…What do you think???

What do you think of the new rendition of “We Are the World” ??  Jennifer Nettles gets some serious face time…but I’m not feelin this new version…I wish they would have stayed more true to the original…

I wasn’t pleased with it. I prefer the original version better. Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland bombed her part in the song. Why can she just not sing w/o having to add all the unnecessary vocal tricks. She continues to go downhill with each and every live performance.

I think it would have been better to just have singers from different genres. I didn’t care to movie stars. I know everyone wants to help, but please leave singing up to the professionals.

I agree..I loved the Original Version and this version is more of POP MIX that i didnt care for..Just wish some of the people from the original version attended like “Cindy lauper”, “Bruce Springsteen” to name a few..

This version does not compare with the original. I cannot believe they had Lil Wayne have a solo part. I was disgusted he performed at the Grammy Awards. The man is going to prison. What are we telling our young people. Commit a crime and you will be a hero. Because of his participation, I will not be buying this song oon iTunes. There are times we Americans are too forgiving.

I didn’t care for it at all. Very disappointed. The original was amazing! I remember when it came out I couldn’t stop singing it but not with the remake. And what was with the rap junk that they stuck in it??? That has no business in that song. It ruined it. I won’t be downloading this song and won’t be singing with the remake

I’m not a huge MJ fan, but the remake is terrible compared to the original. It seems void of all emotion, and a lot of the parts seem cluttered, instead of in harmony. This just goes to show that you cannot always make magic no matter how big stars you put together.

This is just jacked up! this is nothing like the original version. Michael Jackson had much more visual on “We Are the World”. Lionel Richie should have asked Michael before he died OR NOT HAVE DONE AT ALL. No offense to anyone in the video.
