Carrie was robbed for Female Vocal Performance. :/
Carrie should have won both! Taylor Swift is NOT a vocalist!! and she’s nominated for more POP categories how is she still considered country!!?
Carrie Underwood Was Robbed!!!!!
I’m Happy for Taylor Swift and Lady A. I did like “Beautiful World” more than “I Told You So”. Patty is better than Carrie any damn day.
CARRIE WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!
Why White Horse won over Just A Dream will forever be a mystery….bull ****
Wow, it’s looking like fans are really upset about Taylor winning over Carrie. Already a big upset for the night and we don’t start for another 2 hrs. Keep the comments coming….we wanna know what you think!
dude, I didn’t know how much effect I would have on Taylor. All these wins because of me….
Anyone gonna mention that Lady A beat out Rascal Flatts????? That’s bull ****
I rather see Taylor win, her WRITING is great, and she’s a sweetie. Carrie? Not so much. I rather emotion over vocals any frickin’ day.
AS a friend said; Taylor:2 Haters:0
I thought vocal awards were based on vocal talent, not marketability, writing talent or the ability to buy your way in. Just my opinion.
I think Dierks, and Patty should have won!! As for best country song not even Taylor sorry but the other nominees were more deserving!! I do likt Taylor don’t get me wrong!!
When will Miranda Lambert get the recognition she deserves? Give that girl some awards!
Sammie Rascal Flatts hasn’t even done anything I consider “remarkable” this year, just hating on other people. It’s Karma biting them right in their asses, IMO.
I’m not entirely sure where some of your mothers were to teach you manners, but just because an artist that happens to be your favorite didn’t win something is no excuse to bash the artist that did. How would you feel if you just had an amazing moment like winning a grammy, and found out that everyone was saying you didn’t deserve it and you were ‘robbed?’ Don’t assume that the things you say, as small and insignificant as you might feel, don’t get back to people in the end, especially on such a well known blog such as this that I’m sure some country artists stop by and read. Think before you speak and have some RESPECT!
OH WOW!!!! i am SOOOO happy for Randy!!! That song is absolutely beautiful and he seemed genuinely upset that he didn’t win a CMA for it. YES!!! He truly deserves this grammy!!! I Told You So (his version) – is one of my fav country songs of all time!!
I’m not trying to start problems, but I was just wondering who Rascal Flatts has been hating on? I don’t remember hearing anything like that. Thanks.
Christina they where sore loser at CMA time. The interviews and articles full of arrogance disgusted me. I USE to be a fan, but after that I just couldn’t support them.
OK. Thank you for clarifying.
I’m happy for Keith Urban winning. Taylor not so much. Once she can sound the same at all performances, then I will think about her getting all these nominations and awards. She is a great writer, but she lacks alot when it comes to being a live performer. Carrie winning for her duet with Randy Travis I can be happy about.
As for Lady A winning over Rascal Flatts, I can’t be happy about that. They did not deserve this award, just as they did not when they won the CMA. Lady A is a great group, but they write better then they perform live. I don’t care for any artist that sounds different live then they do on CD. Rascal Flatts sounds amazing no matter what. As for articles with them being arrogant, please point them out. They congratulated Lady A on their CMA win, and talked about why they chose to not perform at the CMA’s. Rascal Flatts are the least arrogant groups I know.
Congrats on your Grammys, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban!!
OMG! I do like Taylor Swift, but come on! There are SO many other people out there that deserve the awards more than her. And as for Carrie Underwood/Randy Travis winning for “I Told You So”, I am happy for Randy, but Carrie butchered that song!! The first time I heard it I puked a little in my mouth because she ruined a great song! Lee Ann Womack/George Strait, Brad Paisley/Keith Urban or any of the other nominees should have won for vocal collaboration.
If Taylor wins for Country Album, I swear I am going to freak! She does not deserve that Award!
Oh and I am really happy for Lady Antebellum’s win! They so deserve it!
How unfortunate it is that “Solitary Thinkin’” was the only REAL country song in that category (Best Female Country Vocal Performance), and that Lee Ann’s vocals are absolutely astounding and impeccable as always, and yet again she goes unrecognized by the music community. Taylor, a vocalist? Ha. Lee Ann, a vocalist? Obviously. It breaks my heart that T.Swift represents country music, when I’m not sure she’s ever actually heard it.
The fact that any TRUE fan of Rascal Flatts would ever say they are arrogant is spreading bullshit. These guys do more charity work than any artists in music. They congratulated Lady A, and they just tweeted their congrats for the Grammy win. It is crap that Lady A won over them. The Grammy’s lost all credibility giving a vocal win to Swift, so I honestly don”t even care who else wins. Carrie deserved the award hands diown; I keep hoping that her loss WAS a dream. Grammy’s have gone down the tubes, thanks to the spoiled pop princess who still believes in fairytales. Maturity and talent wins anyday; Carrie will be a legend and Taylor will be left in the dust, mark my words.
It seems obvious that what’s called “Country Music” is fading in the consciousness of the music community. People who sing “Country” always fail to be recognized for the enormous contributions that they make to the music itself and to carrying on the traditions of country music. Now I understand that the new stars want to make their mark, and they want to make it in their way, but I fail to see where any song by Taylor Swift could be considered a “country” song. Being played on a Country Music radio station does NOT make it “country”. Don’t get me wrong, the new breed are very talented and do a fine job, but they are singing more pop and soft rock that country anymore. Give me some Lee Ann Womack if you want to hear country. The vast majority of her songs, especially on her albums is true “country” and her delivery is pure and honest. George Strait, Loretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Reba, Merle Haggard, Patty Loveless, etc. represent country as it should be. I am, as I have been the last 5-7 years, sorely disappointed in the awards for country music. They ignore those who’ve built the foundations for this genre and who have given their heart and soul to country music, only to be eclipsed at the award ceremonies by the young flashy, dancing, jumping singers who do less singing and more performing. Now if you want to vote on entertainers…they are certainly that, and they give great performances…..but they lack that down home, honest, amicable and pure country spirit that only comes from being country at heart and from being with their fans. Real country stars don’t really do it for the awards, and dare I say the money, they do it because they HAVE to. They love their fans and they love connecting with them. Give me a Lee Ann Womack over any of the new stars any day!
Oh Taylor. You’re lucky for all of your tweenie fans…
So happy that Taylor won two early! too bad she wasn’t nominated for 13 awards!
