Rascal Flatts are celebrating their songwriters next week in a ceremony at Musician’s Hall of Fame in Nashville.

“It all starts with a song, we’ve believed that from day one,” said Jay DeMarcus. “We are so grateful and humbled by the fact that so many of Nashville’s finest song writers have been with us on this incredible ride. We’ve lent our voices to some of these songs that have, quite literally, changed people’s lives. What an enormous blessing. This is just our small way of saying thanks for an incredible first ten years and then, toasting to the next ten!”

Among those to be honored include the seventeen writers of Rascal Flatts 11 #1 singles, including Blair Daly, Marcus Hummon, Wendell Mobley, Jeffrey Steele, and Neil Thrasher.

This is really cool! What a unique way for the guys to honor their songwriters. They have recorded some of the best material of the past ten years. Considering they probably came up with this idea themselves, I think it’s even better. Nice to see some artists who haven’t forgotten where they came from.
