Kellie Pickler is debuting a new-short haired version of herself on People.com
It was so damaged I looked like a scarecrow so I chopped it off!” During her recent USO trip to the Middle East, where she entertained and visited with troops in Iraq and Kuwait, her hair began falling out as a result of transitioning from blonde to red and back again. “I had two choices — look like a scarecrow or cut it,” she says.
Even though the change is a big one, Kellie is loving the new look.
“Having short hair makes me feel like I set my self apart [style wise] from the other women in country music,” she says. “I remember being in love with Lorrie Morgan’s hairstyles growing up. I’ve always thought she was beautiful and confident.”
I think the new look is FANTASTIC on Kellie…Although, she’s so cute, she could probably shave her head and still look fantastic.

I was a little disappointed that she didn’t stay red longer, but at the end of the day, it’s who she is and not what she looks like that matters and she is simply amazing.

Well, Kellie said the reason she didn’t was because her dad told her she looked like her mom with the red hair. We all know how her relationship with her mother is. So I wasn’t shocked she changed it after she was told that. I love her hair blond, it is who she is. She looked cute with the red but blond fits her beautifully, just like this haircut does. But at the end of the day it is her hair and she shall choose to do as she pleases.
