Jason Aldean Celebrates Going Platinum

Jason Aldean

On Tuesday, Jason Aldean and Broken Bow Records took over Nashville’s Sambuka to celebrate the platinum success of Wide Open. Unlike the 20months it took for Jason’s first album to hit platinum status, Wide Open sold over a million copies in just 8 months. Two singles off the album, “Big Green Tractor” and “She’s Country” are also certified platinum.

“I’ve waited since I was 14 years old,” the elated Aldean said, “to have a year like we had last year.”

Congrats Jason! You can see more pictures at CMT.com
