Dixie Chicks Sisters Releasing New Music Without Natalie

DixieChicks

In a CMT interview with Lloyd Maines, Natalie Maines father, he confirms that Martie Maguire and Emily Robison have been working on a music project without Natalie. Although no release date or album information has been released we are keeping our fingers crossed to get some more information about the project from Columbia Records in the upcoming months.

Although the two are working on musical projects without Natalie it doesn’t mean the trio has ended.   The interview with Natalie’s father tells a story of  the Dixie Chicks as a happy family who spent the holidays together.

“They were all here at my house for Christmas,” he says. “Everybody seemed happy and healthy. And they were back here on New Year’s Eve with their families. Everybody had a great time, but, I tell you, during holidays, I don’t ask any business questions, and they didn’t offer any insight. … But they’re definitely still an entity. …

“I know that the girls seem really happy being out of the public eye. They hit it so hard for so many years. The dynamics have changed so much now because they’ve all got kids that are in school. The happy-go-lucky, just-take-off-and-go situation has definitely changed.”

Lloyd also says says he doesn’t think the three Chicks have yet decided how they might reincarnate their act.

Love or hate the Dixie Chicks those ladies could sing some fantastic country music. I am keeping my fingers crossed that one day a new Dixie Chicks CD will grace my ipod again.

Love the Dixie Chicks & think they were treated unbelievably unfairly…that’s one thing about Country Music that I could do without…Not only do they sometimes overreact, they also hold grudges. These girls can sing and play with the best of em. Here’s to a HUGE comeback!

  3. Erin says:

This whole Dixie Chick hate thing should ‘GO AWAY’. Seriously, time to move on. You CANNOT deny the talent that these lovely ladies have. I truely hope they reunite soon!

  5. Kim says:

Brought what upon them? Sold out shows and over the top record sales?
