Awards season is always an exciting time of year. It is especially special when country music is blended in with other genres of music. It used to be that country music was the under dog. NOT ANYMORE! Country music has come out swinging with hot talent like Taylor Swift, Gloriana, and Jamey Johnson. That is just to name a few.
Tonight Taylor Swift has three People’s Choice nominations heading into tonight’s awards, for country artist, female artist and pop artist. Carrie Underwood has two nominations; country artist and female artist. Keith Urban is another country singer with two nominations. His are for country artist and male artist. Other country artists up with one nomination apiece are: Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts.
The People’s Choice Awards are tonight on CBS.

I don’t see a category for favorite country band for People’s Choice Awards? I just see where they are nominated for Favorite Country Artist.
I just checked that out myself; you’re right. But I think that might be a glitch, honestly. It has been very well-publicized that they are, and have been, nominated for favorite country group. In fact, I voted for them quite a few times myself, earlier in the voting window. But I did notice that many country nominees- group, female artist, male artist, album- are nowhere to be found on the website. This kind of worries me- this doesn’t make room for fair voting among everyone, and I’m worried that it’s because someone messed with the system.
