Staring off the New Year with new ink. Newcomer to country, Danny Gokey, is remembering his late wife with a new arm tattoo.
“Here’s the tattoo! It doesn’t show the color very well because its swollen. Big thanks to Marcello at sacred skin!” he Tweeted over the weekend.
Danny lost his wife Sophia to a heart condition in 2008. He launched the Sophia’s Heart Charity Foundation in her honor last year. Danny’s debut album, My Best Days, is set to release spring 2010.

I think the tattoo is a beautiful tribute to Sophia. He obviously misses her immensely.
Not a tatto fan myself; but if that is what he needs to “shoulder through the pain” (some lyrics in a song he just sang at a radio station!) more power to him. That is quite intricate; must have hurt for a long period of time!
I noticed you can’t see it when he is wearing a tee shirt .
