Phil Vassar can ad ‘broadway composer’ to his list of things he’s done. Phil is currently writing the songs for the Broadway play Waitress…which is about a…(wait for it)…waitress, according to GACTV.com.
It’s such a great story,” Phil told his hometown paper, The Lynchburg News & Advance. “We’re staying as close as we can to it.”
Penning songs for a play is a lot different than a 12-song album.
I’m 10 or 12 songs into this thing,” he said. “I never realized how many songs are in a Broadway show.”

Phil’s newest album, Traveling Circus, is in stores now.
