Well it seems  single men everywhere are a bit sad today.  According to the Ottowa Sun the rumors of Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher getting engaged over the weekend are true.

This morning, a source close to the couple confirmed to the Ottawa Sun that Fisher popped the question and Underwood has accepted the proposal.

Now we haven’t seen a ring or heard directly from the couple but all signs are reporting to an upcoming wedding!   A BIG Congratulations goes out to Carrie and Mike.  Wishing you all the best in 2010!

UPDATED:  According to Sportsnet Reporter Ian Mendes Mike Fisher has confirmed that he and Carrie are engaged!

Mike Fisher just confirmed he is engaged to Carrie Underwood. (And I promise this is the last TMZ-style tweet from me).
