The rumor mill has been kicked up and people are speculating that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher got engaged over the weekend! According to another blog Colin Peters, Mike’s best friend, sent out a Twitter earlier this evening congratulating the couple.
What makes this story a bit more strange is that now Colin’s twitter page has been protected and are not public. Oops – did he spill the beans, was his Twitter account hacked or was he just trying to get some attention? You make the call.
UPDATED: I am trying to find out more information about Colin Peters. He may not be Mike’s best friend after all…looks like he is friends with Mike’s cousin.

He’s not Mike’s best friend. He’s a friend of Mike’s cousin and was with the cousin when they called.

I’m a big time Carrie supporter who used to comment all the time on the Carrie Fans site. I was so protective of Carrie that the moderator banned me from the site. I guess I was too hard core of a Carrie fan for a Carrie Fan forum, lol. Anyway, if this news is true I am very happy as Mike is a really nice guy. He is a good Christian and does a lot of charity work. They are both really good people.
Yes, Colin_Peters claimed he was Mike’s cousin’s best friend. And, through his later tweets, that are now deleted, he explicitly stated they were engaged.
Someone also said it was reported in a Canadian paper that Mike was shopping for a ring, Carrie and Mike seem like to very happy together, and it’s refreshing that they want to keep the relationship private. Cograts to them if this is true!!
