I too agree Taylor is NOT country nor was she ever….Zac Brown are ok but to be top 5..No way…where is Trace? Martina? Miranda? How about George Strait? I guess since they are not about greed and corporate but kissing they don’t deserve a nod. Now they are some true country…I like Lady A but they are more of a cross over pop group…OK, I will go back to cleaning house and listening to Merle, Willie, Trace, Garth, Trisha, Miranda, and maybe throw in a little Toby

I only have one comment about this list…IT IS NOT “TRUE COUNTRY”!!!! The artists in that list fall into the catagory of “Corporate Radio Country” which is, in most cases, real country music that has been pulverized and processed much like the meat in hotdogs. (Is there any meat in hotdogs anymore?) Singer/songwriters who spend every waking minute thinking about how they can get a few extra pennies to put in the gas tank instead of eating at McArbykings (or wherever) so they can get out to some of the small local venues and play their music for people that they don’t even know. They are the people who work the hardest at the career that they love instead of having some team of BMW drivers and coffee fetchers doing all the legwork. The True Country top five are truly talented, and in most cases, exceptionally gifted but, they are not the top five in anything but being a victim of corporate greed.

Absolutely wrong! Take out Taylor Swift (she’s not country anyway) and Zac Brown Band and put in Keith Urban and Brad Paisley at the very least.

They got it WRONG. TAYLOR IS NO LONGER COUNTRY. When you are claiming to be a country act, yet get nominated for multiple Pop Grammy’s, you aren’t country anymore.
