Taylor Swift is currently in London for a Monday and Tuesday performance. Even the ultra fan-friendly Taylor Swift can’t seem to please everybody, but apparently she’s expected to. According to AnythingHollywood.com, Taylor arrived back to her hotel at 12:30am, and one of the awaiting fans claimed she’d been waiting 11 hours to get an autograph. Taylor’s peeps explained that Taylor wouldn’t be signing autographs that evening.
In true obsessive fan fashion (insert sarcasm here), the fan started throwing a tantrum and shouting, “I’m selling my ticket on eBay for your concert!”
Really? The ultra-fan-friendly Taylor Swift is expected to sit outside her hotel room in the wee-hours of the morning signing for the entirely-too desperate fans who decided to waste their entire day for the off-chance they may actually get an autograph. Really?
I know there will be those Taylor-haters who will comment and say “How hard would it have been for her to just sign an autograph?” True…but what are the chances it would have been just one autograph? I have been in the waiting fan situation…never for 11 hours (only because I think that’s a completely idiotic thing to do)…I’ve left my favorite artists both disappointed in not getting an autograph and happily satisfied with pictures and signatures galore. However, the only person I have to blame for my disappointment is myself. I was the idiot who chose to wait. Sure, sometimes I think it’s easier for someone to just give fans what they want…but lets face it…no one has to be ‘on’ all the time.

Taylor is AMAZING to all of her fans and very often does go out of her way to sign autographs and talk to people. But she also has a life and a schedule and -GASP- needs sleep once in a while! People need to understand that she’s not just some ‘superstar’ she’s also a human being just like everyone else and there’s only twenty four hours in a day. She appreicates her fans and understands that she wouldn’t be where she is without them, but if she signed autographs for every single hopeful she would never get any sleep and collapse on stage during a concert. (Which she’s almost done before at times, people!) Bottom line? Think before you speak. Its called Respect and common sense. Look it up. Okay I’m done
