Steel Magnolia – A Fan Review

Steel Magnolia

My wife and I saw Steel Magnolia play an acoustic set Saturday night at Champion Billiards in Frederick, MD. They sounded incredible! Their voices were made for each other! From size of the crowd, I’m guessing the word hasn’t really gotten out about how good they are, but they gave a shining performance to a crowd of about 200 people. They performed most of the songs they did on “Can You Duet”, including a cover of Hank Williams’ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” They even performed an impromptu version of “Jingle Bells” while one of the WFRE DJs ran around dressed like an elf to pay off a bet he lost. Cheesy, but fun.

After the show was over, my wife and I met Meghan and Josh, and they were so nice and genuine. Josh gave my wife a kiss on the cheek, and she told me she was never going to wash that side of her face! I truly enjoyed getting a chance to meet them, and we are looking forward to seeing them next time around!
