Matthew McConaughey took to his Myspace Blog to tell us about his 40th birthday…My first thought was…what?! Matthew McConaughey is 40?!?! When did that happen?  Then, he goes to explain that he got a surprise performance by his favorite artist, Jamey Johnson…Obviously I was suprised by this…I woulda thought Kenny Chesney’s island-esque country music fit Matthew’s surfer-dude attitude.

Got everything I need for a perfect 40th…a happy and healthy lady, son, and another baby on the way….my family, closest friends and I celebrated last night with a surprise performance by one of my favorite artists Jamey Johnson….there were some epic stories told, lot of laughs and definitely some roasting.

Wow-that’s all I have to say about that…
