So the performance was good…you can always count on Carrie to sound good but that was one heck of a boring interview. It was like trying to pull teeth to get her to talk.

As much as I love Carrie Underwood, I agree that this interview was seriously lacking. She doesn”t have the most outgoing personality to begin with, but this was just painful. Kinda makes me wonder if she realizes how very little personality she shows.

I loved Mike LONG before Carrie even knew his name…. give him back Carrie!!!!! lol

I am a shy girl also and have had a sheltered life. I am not ashamed of it. When some of my friends and I go places there are a couple of girls that gush and are outgoing–and people look at them as if to say they are too much. So my choice would be shy compared to gushy. I think Carrie did ok–and her vocals were great as usual.

I’m alslo shy- can definatly relate to where Carrie is coming from. I can’t even imagine being shy to begin with, but then being thrust into the spotlight for the whole world to see? No thanks. Carrie gets trashed for showing little personality, but I would much rather have her be like that than giving fans every feeling and detail about her private life. She has a personality, and I think people who don’t watch her in interviews or follow all the great work she does for others are too quick to judge her. She has a great voice? Oh we can’t trash her for that, let’s bash the personality of someone we don’t even know. Carrie will be remembered for her incredible voice, moving performances, membership in the Opry and Oaklahoma Hall Of Fame, and her CATS charity for her hometown. I would rather be a fan of someone with a sweet somewhat reserved personality than someone who is praised for personality over talent.

I didn’t trash her…I just said it was boring. As much as people want to say that I am a Carrie hater that is not true. Now I’m not a huge fan of Cowboy Casanova but as for the rest of her music I love almost all of it. I even voted for her on American Idol! IMAGINE THAT! :) I don’t care about her private life….I care how she comes across to fans and her music. I could give a crap about her boyfriend, although I think it’s sweet they are finally talking about it. I agree that she will be remembered for her incredible voice but most would watch her and agree that she is not very personable. And to me that is part of her job description.

I think she shows her sincere, honest personality very well. Some of the artists gush and you wonder if what they are saying is true or they are pretending to be something they are not–and maybe not a very sincere person at all. I am growing up in a christian home as Carrie did and I think she is a very honest, sweet person–and that shows in her interviews. She is a great role model for me.

  8. K says:

I hate to say this, but I honestly don’t really care if she’s not that personable or chatty. She seens to be a decent enough person and a good role model for young girls. I don’t care about her love life or what she does privately- I think it’s refreshing that she doesn’t blab about herself too much- which keeps the focus on her talent. Carrie is very open about how shy she is, and she doesn’t hide that it’s hard for her to open up to others, even through her music. She opened up a little bit more on “Play On and I think she has showed a little bit more of the true Carrie. Even if she remains to be an uptight person, it’s pretty obvious that her fans will love her no matter what. I would rather listen to someone who has stellar vocals but is a bit dry than someone who has horrid vocals but is very personable. Carrie didn’t get a record deal because of her personality, but because is exteremly talented. I think people who can relate to being shy sympathize with Carrie a little more- I would hate if people said I had no personality because I’m quiet.

I think Carrie Underwood is a beautiful young lady; and it is her right to be what she wants to be and others should not criticize her for her personality.Others are just jealous of her.
