If you do the math, at least $350,000 was brought in at last week’s We’re All for the Hall concert that benefited Country Music Hall of Fame. The Hall says the Sommet Center was filled to capacity with 14,000 people. And, tickets were $25 each. The musicians donated their time and talent. So, except for maybe the cost of electricity and some other overhead, it had to be a good night for the Hall of Fame. Another “We’re All for the Hall” concert is set for next year on Tuesday night, October 5.

That number is not final because other items have also been sold and will be up for auction to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame.  We are hoping that a press release will be sent out with a final total once everything has been added up.

One of those “extra” items that will go to benefit the Hall is a Taylor Swift guitar that she played on stage during the concert.  Taylor says when she was 14 and first started getting paid to be a songwriter in Nashville, she gave her first check to the Hall of Fame.

Her thought was “‘You’ve got to honor the past before you move forward.”‘  says she still has “that mindset.” That’s why she and so many other artists performed at last week’s “We’re All for the Hall” fundraiser.
