Whitney Duncan, stepped out onto the ”big stage” Friday, October 16th, 2009 as she debuted at the Grand Ole Opry.

Whitney was introduced to the Opry stage for her first time by John Conlee. She expressed what an honor it was to be able to perform there that night. Whitney’s first song of the night, as well as the first song for her to ever perform at the Grand Ole Opry, was her latest single, “Skinny Dippin”, and she did her cute little “prance dance” right along with it. She then picked up her guitar and ended her set with an absolute flawless performance of “Little by Little”. Both “Skinny Dippin” and “Little by Little” will  be on Whitney’s greatly anticipated album “Right Road Now”, which is expected to be released in early 2010.

Fans congratulated Whitney in many ways. They had an online “listening party” on twitter, while they were tuned in to www.wsmonline.com. Whitney’s fan twitter (@WhitDuncanFans) were also sending in updates live from the show. She was also given gifts that included some of her favorite sweets, even a gift card to one of her favorite places (Starbucks), a t-shirt that said “Professional Skinny Dipper”, a plaque as an award, and a scrapbook with e-mails of congratulations from fans around the United States (even some international), some pictures of Whitney with some of her fans, and from various performances were included in the book also. The following day Whitney tweeted (@whitneyduncan) “My fans helped make my Opry debut unforgettable!!! I love ya’ll & appreciate so much support!! ”
