Born in Tallahassee and raised in Wakulla Station, Fla., Jason Jones is a believer. He believes life and love don’t have to be as complicated as we make them and that life is what you make it. Those philosophies are reflected in Jason’s music as well. It was his father who gave Jason his first guitar, a Christmas gift at age 13. “I wanted a big, rockin’, electric guitar, but I got a short, student, acoustic guitar,” he remembers with a laugh. “My dad didn’t think I’d stick with it.” The performing bug bit Jason hard early on. “If I go two or three weeks without playing, it really gets to me,” he says. “I gotta get out there and play. I’ve been playing 100 shows and writing 50 songs a year for the last six years.” All the hard work finally paid off with a call from Warner Bros. Records. Jason’s dream was coming true.

Jason’s voice in “Unlikely Angel”, written by Constance Mottle, Cory Lee Barker, and Anita Cox, sounds very much like Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts. This song expresses how greatful he is that this woman “dropped in from out of the blue and washed away his pain and made him new”. He was at the end of his rope thinkin’ life was a living hell and thought “love was a dream that fools shared, nobody prays and nobody cares for no one but themselves”. “Unlikely Angel” is now out on the radio and available for purchase on iTunes! Another song of Jason’s that I like so much is called “You’re My Favorite”.  It’s an awesomely sweet love song.
