Luke Bryan’s “Doin My Thing” has been one of the most anticipated albums for Country Music Tattle Tale.  Not only are we huge Luke fans but we believe that this album will finally get him the credibility that he not only deserves but has earned.

With prior hits like “All My Friends Say” and “Country Man” most expect Luke to be a full time party boy with fun and upbeat tempos that everyone can sing along to.  So most were surprised when he released “Do I” as his first single from this fantastic album.  It tells the touching story that hits close to home for many married couples.  With the release of the video that hit number 1 for three weeks in a row on GAC you know that fans are loving the softer side of Luke.

For his rowdy fans, there is nothing to worry about.  Luke hasn’t went all soft.  In “Doin My Thing” he delivers some of the same tongue twisting lyrics and buoyant rhythms that you love with “Rain is a Good Thing” and “Drinkin’ Beer and Wastin’ Bullets”.

“Doin My Thing” has something for every country music lover.  The two bonus songs that you can get from pre-ordering the album on iTunes are a MUST have.  “Favorite Flowers” will forever resonate with anyone who has lost a loved one and is one of our favorite songs off this album.

One of my favorites off Doin My Thing is “What Country Is.”  You’ll find yourself with closed eyes swayin back and forth…realizing even you’re just a little bit country, or you wanna be cuz Luke makes it sound so damn good.  Every die-hard Luke fan will also be thrilled to see “Apologize” on the record.  A live-show, crowd favorite…now everyone can finally hear how seamlessly Luke makes a rock  n’roll One Republic song into a country crooner’s dream-come-true.

It’s obvious how proud Luke is of Doing My Thing, and he should be.  Just like he said in his first album I’ll Stay Me; Luke has managed to stay true to his country roots and country-man status while growing by leaps and bounds as an artist.  His vocals are stronger, his songwriting is clever, and his showmanship is improving with every gig.  Luke should be proud, and we’re proud of him.
