Josh Turner’s concert was what I’d describe as a very fast paced and strong program. Josh brought us 16 of his own songs including his current single, “Why Don’t We Just Dance” which made us wish we had room to do just that. He mentioned that his upcoming CD’s release date has been set back from early November to sometime in January. He suggested we use some of our Christmas gift cards for purchasing our copies of it. (wink)

One person in the band was new that night, Tim Galloway and it was only his third show but he could have fooled us all with his very good musical expertise.

Josh also admitted that he had reached a goal that morning in the fitness room of the hotel where he stayed. He ran a 7-minute mile on their treadmill..but did injure himself ‘some’ in that manuever. I think stiffness and a hip problem were the end result, but, we still applauded his setting the fitness goal and reaching it.

The last four songs started with “Long Black Train” and this was when Josh used both hands and a hand mic to encourage the fans to come down to the front of the stage and for the audience to remain on their feet ..for these last four songs! The three other songs of those were a cover of George Jones’ “One Woman Man,” “Your Man” and “Trailerhood.”

Josh was coaxed back for a one song encore and he chose “Would You Go With Me!” That was the way he left us … on our feet and wanting more. We highly recommend a Josh Turner concert to Everyone but especially after this particular one that we enjoyed so much.
