My fave toby moment was celebrating my 21st birthday at his concert two summers ago.
Five years ago I saw Toby Keith in concert for the first time. I will never forget it because it was also the first concert that I ever went to. I love his music and can’t wait to hear the songs off the new album!
I can remember roller skating down my parents’ driveway back in 1992 or 1993 when Toby’s first hit, Should Have Been a Cowboy, came out. I would play it on my boombox as I skated around. Now, 17 years later, I’m still listening to that same cowboy sing to me out of my ipod headphones.
My favorite memory would have to be singing Toby songs on the way to and home from dinner with my grandparents and my younger cousin every night. Those are memories i will definitely cherish forever.
Toby and his music was a gift given to me by my Mom after she passed away unexpectedly 6 years ago. She had an entry in her journal which read “I love Toby Keith – he is independent, opinionated, does things his way, has succeeded against the odds, and stayed true to himself through it all. I guess I love him because he reminds me so much of my daughter, Julie”. It was after reading this that I went to my first Toby concert, and have been to many each year sense. Now that I know more about Toby Keith, know how his music impacts so many people, know how many people he helps thru his charities and selflessness – I see that that comarison that my Mom made was a supreme compliment!!!!
My favorite Toby moment is his Christmas special where he sings the best version of Go Tell it On the Mountain ever recorded. Toby and Jewell are alternating vocals. At one point in the second verse after Toby has just totally owned his line, he looks over at Jewel and yells “What chu got!!” It’s awesome.
my favorite memory was seein him on my 13th birthday two years ago while on vacation in florida! :]
Toby Keith and I both share the home state of Oklahoma, and we are both die hard Oklahoma Sooners fans. His song “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” is the first song I learned to play on guitar. I took my wife to see Toby in Baltimore while we were still dating. It was the first of many country concerts we have been to together since!
I work part time as a security officer. I was back stage with toby. the nices guy you could ever meet. He is down to earth
Saw Toby this summer with a great friend! He put on such a great show. But my favorite moment was a concert I saw of his a few years back, since it was one of my first country shows and Toby turned me into a huge country music fan.
Have never seen one of his concerts but have enjoyed his music over the years. Especially love the song “Should’ve Been a Cowboy”—-reminds me of a more innocent time and place.
Just absolutely love Toby’s I’ll kick your butt and do things my way attitude. I love the reason he named his last cd White Trash With Money. He said someone made a rude comment to his daughter and told her she was only white trash with money, so therefore the title to the cd. He said he came home a couple of days later and threw a copy of the cd down on the table and his wife said “Oh no you didn’t” and he replied “Oh yes I did”. You gotta love Toby.
My favorite Toby moment is them all. He is not afraid to tell it like it is and he is one of the most patriotic people I’ve ever know. I come from a family of military people and boy Toby really tells it the way it is.
I’ve been a loyal Toby Keith fan long before he became famous. A number of years I had tickets (excellent seats) to see Toby at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH. I became and more excited as the date came closer. Then, one day we received a letter from the venue stating that the show had been canceled due to lack of ticket sales. Although the refunded my money, it didn’t matter. I was so disappointed. Can you imagine the he couldn’t fill a small theatre that seats probably 1,200 people? Shortly thereafter, Toby won big at the music awards and he’s filled concert halls MUCH bigger than our little theatre. I’ve been to several Toby concerts – and the best I could get (even with advance purchase ticket sales) was very lousy seats. One of my personal goals in life is to see Toby in concert, without the need for stilts and binoculars!
