According to MusicRow.com, The Country Music Hall of Fame would like to double it’s size. Considering the already huge and state-of-the-art building that houses country music history, that’s a massive and undoubtedly expensive undertaking.
We really need to expand,” Museum Director Kyle Young told the Tennessean. “We know what happens when you don’t do that. … It’s good business to want to build on success.” Young and Dean reportedly met recently to discuss the idea of expansion, but Young did not request government funding for the project.
Since this is Music City, the preservation of country music history is high on the priority list. After all, many of those that call Nashville home have the bedazzled stars of yesteryear to thank for their current star status’. Keith Urban obviously recognizes the need to raise awareness since he’s hosting the “We’re All for the Hall” benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame. The star-studded concert takes place on October 13th at the Sommet Center and will feature performances by Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Faith Hill, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum and many more.
