Most the time chiling, my family and me
But sometimes at night, when the kids are in bed
My foot gets to stompin and i get a song in my head

Well i’m a country girl, that’s what i’ll always be
I was raised in the in the woods in Monticello Kentucky.
Well i loved to go climbin in my daddy’s Chevrolete
pickin Ginseng and mushrooms is the hillbilly way.
We never had no money and my daddy worked outta town
lived out in the middle of nowhere and nobody was around.
My momma didn’t drive and she didn’t have a car.
so we just stayed at home, we never went too far.
She was only thirteen when she married my dad
guess she thought it was better than the life she had.
My family are the Burkharts and the feudin McCoy’s
they raise beautiful girls and some bad ass boys
We love to pick guitars and sing an old song
and we crank it on up whenever Colt comes on.
