Jason Aldean has taken his tractor and parked it at no. 1… for four consecutive weeks. This is big news because Aldean is the first to hold the no. 1 spot for four straight weeks in over 18 months.  The last song to sit at no. 1 for four weeks was “Letter To Me” by Brad Paisley.

When Jason was asked how he felt he responded with:

“This is crazy.  The guys I’ve always looked up to…my heroes…are the ones who are supposed to be sitting up there at the top,” said Aldean.  ”Man, I feel like I’m constantly thanking country radio and the fans, but they truly are a huge part of the reason I’m having such a great year.  It motivates me to go out and work harder than I ever have before. The fans and all their energy and support are fueling everything I’m doing right now…it feels incredible!”

Jason Aldean also made history to become the first country artist ever to take the no. 1 spot on the Billboard all-genre ringscan chart. “Big Green Tractor” beat out artists Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, and The Black Eyed Peas. The song was certified GOLD by the RIAA for digital sales. This is the second song from his Wide Open album to achieve this status.
