With the CMA Award nominations being announced today there is a flurry of people online today talking about it. Many congratulations going around to the nominees and many fans a fluster about those artists who were not nominated for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award.
Thousands of tweets were being sent in to @rascalflatts (Rascal Flatts) today from fans expressing their support and sometimes disgust at the group being left out of this category.
With class and much dignity the guys of Rascal Flatts let their fans know of their appreciation and thanks for the support with the following tweets:
From @rascalflatts – Thank u all for ur feelings and support. We make music for u not them. We appreciate u sayin were your etoy and yall r all that matters !!
From @jaydemarcus – Thank you guys for all your support today… It is disappointing but I’m happy for Taylor and proud of her…..
Rascal Flatts are a huge selling and money making group for country music. Personally, I am a HUGE fan and am also very disappointed with them being left out of the category. I keep reminding myself that I am a fan because of the music and not the awards. And as many have already said today, they will ALWAYS be my Entertainers of the Year.

Love them.
They’re definitely my Entertainer of the Year!! Even if they didn’t come to Nashville this fall. Ha.
Wow, what classy and sweet guys Gary, Jay and Joe Don are- they work their butts off for ten years and don’t get rewarded an ounce for it- yet they still manage to be happy for other nominees, and they don’t say a bad word about the industry that doesn’t give a s**** about them. It’s one thing for talented but commerically-dead artists like Gary Allan and Tim McGraw to get overlooked- but to snub the biggest selling and grossing country music history is just biased and wrong. Period. It sickens me that an artist like Taylor Swift can get four nominations, including the biggest honor, and she hasn’t matured or worked her ass off for ten years, while still having a rock-solid fanbase that buys CD’s and tickets year-in and year out like Rascal Flatts fans. I’t's sad, but I’ve actually come to accept that RF will go down in history as overlooked by every awards academy in the industry- that is OK though- they are way too talented for those biased scumbags who run the “industry” of Nashville (:
honestly people are always complaining RF is too pop/crossover…then what in the world do they think TS is?! i like her and all but she definitely is not all country anymore
