Kenny Chesney’s latest single, “I’m Alive” was originally recoreded by Willie Nelson. However, Kenny took it to a different place by pairing up with Dave Matthews. Normally amped-up with energy, islands, and concert footage, Kenny’s videos display a party atmosphere, but Kenny took this video in a different direction.
“Somebody said to me that it’s been a long time since anyone’s seen my soul in one of these clips,” says Kenny. “And you know, they may be right – because you get so caught up in the energy, in the show, in the good times of these songs, why would you go there? But for this song, well, it just seemed like the right thing to do – and Shaun [director Shaun Silva] and his guys really captured the essence of who I am.”

THis is one boring song to me! I think Chesney should have let Dave sing it by himself. The song fits Dave better than KC.
