WHOA! The Grand Ole Opry House was turned upside down and inside out last night by Darius Rucker at the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush Concert Series. It was an amazing show from start to finish. Even the Host for the evening was full of energy, although he didn’t have a hard job. This crowd was there to see Darius Rucker and they weren’t holding back.
Darius Rucker came on stage with a big smile on his face and ready to sing a full set off his #1 “Learn to Live” album. As I have said in the past, Darius does not disappoint.
His stage presence and crowd interaction makes his personality shine. Between rockin’ out on his guitar and slapping the hands of fans in the front row you know that he is there to please.
It was fun to “people watch” last night because it becomes apparent very quickly that Darius not only touches the hearts of women with his soft ballads like “It Won’t be Like This For Long” but also gets the men rowdy with fun and relatable songs like “Drinkin’ And Dialin’”. (yes, I said relatable)
If you are a country music fan Darius Rucker is a MUST SEE! If you didn’t make it to the show last night..as Darius would say, “It’ Alright”. They taped it to air on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday, August 27th.
One of my friends sent me a text message last night that said; “This concert is definitely in my Top 10!” so make sure to set your DVR!
You can see all of our pictures from the show on our Flickr page.
Something that will not be aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live will be the encore from last night. Remember I told you earlier this month that Darius does an AMAZING cover of the Price song “Purple Rain”. See it here as Darius performed it on the Grand Ole Opry stage last night.
