We told you back in July that Jennette McCurdy of Nickelodeon fame was signed to a Capitol Records contract. The young actress does have a nice set of pipes. She posted her singing a cover of Rascal Flatts, “What Hurts the Most” on her YouTube page. Take a listen and let us know what you think. Is there room for her in country music?

She does have some pipes…i like her voice…she needs to lose some of the runs though…that’s just annoying…on the bright side…this is a much less annoying song when she’s singing it.
I think she sounds good, strong pipes. It will be interesting to see how her debut does when she releases it.
She is way too adorable<3 And I love her voice, though she can use improvement in some areas. But still thumbs up!
Yes I agree she can sing…..do I think she is country not so much….it seems like more and more country is leaning more towards pop….what is happenin to the real country?

I think she sounds great! And my kiddos are totally pumped that Sam from icarly is gonna be a country star! We love that show. I believe she can make it in country music…she has the look, the sound…best of luck to her!

I really love how Jennette sings I became her huge fan when I found out she sings.
One day I was on you tube looking around watching videos ,I came across a music video of Jennette it was the Not That Faraway music video.
At first I thought it was not really Jennette singing at first but when I took another listen of the song I was shocked the pen in my mouth fell right out.
Since then I became a huge Jennette Mccurdy fan.
I really love country music and I say that Jennette is #1 on my list.
plus / by the way (sorry) forgot I really like how she sings the song what hurts the most.
