Jack Ingram will be filming an episode of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? this week.  He will be playing for charity, and his charity of choice is TOMS Shoes.

“It’s crazy how things in your life come full circle sometimes. Back when I was 17 years old, my first job was as a camp counselor and one of my campers was a guy named Blake Mycoskie, who is now the founder and the ‘Chief Shoe-Giver’ you see on all the commercials for TOMS,” explains the Texas native. “Blake was at one of my shows in L.A. recently, and we started talking about how we could partner up on a few things.”

“So now here I am…about to prove to the world on national television that I am probably NOT, in fact, smarter than a 5th grader,” adds Ingram. “I will be able to say that I helped my buddy put shoes on kids all over the world who didn’t have them before though, which is a lot cooler than knowing the capitol of Hungary! And if you don’t believe me, ask Kellie Pickler. I bet she’d be on my side!”

Jack will take to his Twitter today to invite some die-hard LA based fans to come out and support him. He’ll tweet at 5pm today and he’ll announce the winner via tweet on Thursday.
