Your wait is almost over! Josh Turner’s new single “Why Don’t We Just Dance” will be released to radio stations tomorrow at noon. Josh says it caught his ear the first time he heard it. He says of the song,

“It’s an up-tempo, traditional country song that has a very catchy melody with a lyric that poses the question ‘why don’t we just dance?’ and forget all of the bad stuff going on in the world and just concentrate on each other”

The song will be streaming on Josh’s website on August 19th and on August 25 the e-single will be available for purchase on iTunes and other digital partners.

In other Josh Turner news, the first recepient of the Josh Turner Scholarship Fund has been announced. Ashley Poston is a 2009 graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School in Hannah, SC. Josh established the scholarship at his alma mater to make more opportunities for students wanting to pursue an education in music or the arts. He says it was difficult to pursue opportunities in music because he went to such a small school and he wants to create more opportunities for those students.
