It’s no secret that Gloriana is made up of four talented musicians. Musicians that take their career and music very seriously. It’s almost impossible to be a country music fan right now and not recognize their name. They are the opening act for one of the biggest tours of 2009, Taylor Swift, and their first single “Wild at Heart” is continuing to rise up up the charts.
With their debut self titled album hitting stores tomorrow there is no doubt that this is an exciting time for them. They have worked with some of the best writers in Nashville and this 13 track album will show the naysayers that traditional country isn’t the only way it goes (yes, pun intended).
Gloriana as a group possesses a perfect harmony. Very easy on the ears and more than pleasant to listen to. Personally, I think that the upbeat and high tempo songs on the album stand out more and show off what this group is really capable of.
There is one song on this album that will surprise a lot of listeners and it’s the final track, “Time to Let Me Go”. This song has a real bluegrass feel to it and is very different from the other 12 tracks. I am not sure if all of the “Wild at Heart” fans will show enough appreciation for the song.
Overall Gloriana’s debut album is a great start for the group. I am excited to see where the fans are going to take Gloriana in this new journey.
