Luke Bryan is in this months Billboard Magazine’s Christmas in July issue.  Briefing us on the albums to hit the stands during the last quarter of the year, Luke’s sophomore album Doin My Thing will be released in October.

“My first album had great hits and it sold well, but everything about that album is beatable,” Bryan says. “We wanted to make a bigger sounding record, something that moved a little down the road from the first record. We wanted to show my growth vocally, content-wise, and lyrically.”

Luke also talks about “Do I” and also “God Picks His Favorite Flowers First” which was written about the death of Luke’s sister Kelly. We can’t wait for everyone to hear the song because it’s absolutely breathless, touching, and lovely.
