Our great friend Teresa, whom we met at Jake Owen’s Twitter party at Alley Pub a few months back, is a HUGE Diamond Rio fan.  She has been a dedicated fan for many, many years now and was nice enough to email us her review of their latest show:

Talk about a HOT July celebration with good food, fireworks and Great entertainment, Diamond Rio played to a crowd of 20,000 plus people in Ridgeland, Mississippi on Friday, July 3, 2009. People started coming early to put out lawn chairs and set up vending. The weather was beautiful and HOT but the crowd did not seem to mind. They sat there sweating awaiting the event headliner. Diamond Rio took stage around 8:30 pm and played for 1 hr and 15 min. They opened with Beautiful Mess and closed with That’s How Your Love Makes Me Feel. They played hit after hit and the crowd sang along and danced. They have a new Christian cd coming out this fall with a single to be released this month. Diamond Rio sang two songs off of the new cd. If the crowd reaction could make it a hit, then I think they could have a new #1. It is great to see that there are still people in America that does not want to leave God out. The evening was topped off with a fireworks show. If you get a chance, go see Diamond Rio. After almost 20 years together, they are still a great group and at the top of my list.
