CMT Music Pass Delivers Star Studded Night to Fan

One of our readers, Diane won some pretty amazing tickets thru CMT Music Pass…She ended up meeting some pretty amazing artists…Check out her review.

On June 6th, 2009 I had one of the most amazing experiences. It all began a week prior when I received a phone call from CMT that I had won tickets to Bomshel’s concert in Turlock, California through CMT Music Pass. I was told on the phone that it was just free tickets but then I received a phone call later on from Kristy of Bomshel. Yes, a personal phone call. I was in shock! Anyway, she told me how I would get my tickets and that she would meet me before the show. I was beyond excited to just have free tickets for me and my two cousins and now I was going to get to meet Kristy and Kelly. Awesome! When we arrived at the concert we waited for Bomshel’s manager to bring us our tickets at the gate. He was a super nice guy and told us to come find him at the radio booth and we would meet the girls. So, that’s where we headed the first chance we got and behind the radio booth were Kristy and Kelly of Bomshel. They are the sweetest ladies! Wow! They welcomed us with open arms. I thought it was going to be a normal meet and greet…very brief. However, to my surprise, we were able to hang out with them for about 15 minutes. They put on the radio station’s temporary tattoos and made sure we got ours.

They asked if we were going to be up in the front when they performed. We told them we would try but they should just look for the whiteboard that we hold up at all concerts – we never leave home without it. That thrilled them! As we visited I was trying to come up with some thoughtful questions to ask them but the shock and excitement was taking over my brain. Eventually, it came to me. I asked them if there was any other country artist that they couldn’t believe they had met. They mentioned Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban. After they signed our hats and a group picture was taken it was time for them to go prepare for the show.

We then made our way to the stage, ready to cheer them on. Bomshel was up first and they came out rockin’! They performed songs such as “Slow Down”, “Canoe”, and “Arizona”. During one song they looked over and noticed us holding up our whiteboard. It said, “You girls rock!” They got so excited and it was so cool to watch their reaction. The girls also sang their newest hit “Fight Like a Girl”. I was already in love with the song but after Kristy shared the story behind it, it made me love it even more.  Kristy and Kelly put on an amazing show. Kristy can sure play that fiddle too! Wow! Their vocals together are incredible and they are sure to have a huge impact in country music.

I think it is important to add that if it wasn’t for CMT MusicPass my cousins and I would not have seen these other amazing artists as well. Also performing was Love and Theft. Those guys sure are hot! We didn’t even know these guys were doing a meet and greet until we were getting in line to wait for Joey and Rory, who we also met.  I must say they are cutest couple. It is obvious they love each other and they love singing together. While we waited in a very long line to meet Joey and Rory Heather ran over and took pictures of Jamie O’Neal performing. She has some great songs too! After we were done taking pictures it was time to refuel. While Heather and Emily went to buy food and water I went and took pictures of Eric Church.

Then came the heartthrob Chuck Wicks. We knew he would have a huge line for his meet and greet so we listened to him sing a few songs but then went and got in line. It was so funny standing in his line because so many girls were freaking out over meeting him. Heather and I met him in Nashville at the CMA Festival last summer so we knew he was a sweetheart. Once Chuck Wicks arrived it was instant craziness as people pushed to get as close as they could to him. Heather wrote on the whiteboard “All I ever wanted was a hug from Chuck” and she got one. It was pretty cute!

Then came the headliner for the day, James Otto. He can put on a show that’s for sure! We wanted to meet him too so we could see how tall he really was. We were extremely surprised. He is huge and a very nice guy!

It was one very long but totally great day! Thank you CMT MusicPass and Bomshel and all the other artists that performed for making our day one we are never going to forget.

Thanks Diane for your awesome review!  I’m glad you had such a good time!
