Little Big Town Throws a Bash for Fans During CMA Fest

With so many different events going on during CMA Fest it has been hard to keep up with everything.  Thanks to our great readers we were able to cover many more events that we had anticipated.    Thanks to Kristi for giving us all of the great details about the Little Big Town Fan Club Party!

Little Big Town held their annual fan club party, better known as the “Little Big Bash,” at B.B. King’s Blues Club on 2nd Avenue on Wednesday, June 10. Once again, they did not disappoint!

Die-hard LBT fans, including myself, started waiting outside as early as 8 a.m. to get a prime spot – doors didn’t open until 2:45 p.m. By 12:30, the line ran all the way down to Nashville Cowboy way up the block.

Once the doors were opened, fans were greeted by the very helpful LBT and B.B. King’s staff members. The line ran smoothly and efficiently and each fan was given a special Little Big Bash laminate and a one-of-a-kind autographed black and white concert photo of the band taken by their photographer, Becky Fluke, who also works with Sugarland.

I managed to score a spot right in front of the stage and couldn’t have had a more amazing view. Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, and Phillip Sweet know their strengths and they use them. Their harmonies were absolutely flawless and they never missed a beat. They opened up the show with the fan-favorite, Novocaine, which got everyone up on their feet. They seamlessly moved through the set performing such hits as Bring It On Home, Welcome to the Family, Stay, Evangeline, Boondocks, and more.

In between songs, they would pick fan questions out of a bowl. Each person whose question was answered received an iTunes gift card for five free songs. I was one of those lucky winners!

Once they finished their set, we were brought to a back room to meet the band. It was very organized this year and I was very impressed. I was afraid we wouldn’t get out of there in time for the City of Hope softball game, but they were on the ball this year and we made it to the game just in time. The meet & greet line ran quickly and efficiently without being pushy. We weren’t rushed through and the band took the time to talk to each and every person that was there. Overall, another fantastic fan club party from Little Big Town!

Thanks for giving us a peek at the Little Big Bash, for those of us who couldn’t go this year. LBT are known for the time they take with every fan at the M & G. You can’t beat a hug from Philip! I am sure they sounded as great as they look. Maybe next year we can go!
(nice to hear about other artists instead of Taylor Swift all the time!)
