During the red carpet ceremonies tonight for the CMT Awards, Jamey Johnson will be presented with the first Rhapsody Music Without Limits Award. The  award is given to artists who push their artistic boundries and introduce new sounds into an existing music genre.

“It’s an honor anytime your music gets recognized, but it makes it even more special to be the very first person to receive this award,” said award winner, Jamey Johnson. “There have been a lot of ‘firsts’ in my career lately and I’m proud to have this addition. I love what it stands for, I love what it says. Music should never have limits.”
