WOW! Tawny and I have been downtown Nashville since Wednesday and all I can say is CMA Fest is HUGE this year. We have had the opportunity to meet some great artists, awesome country music fans and been caught in a crazy thunderstorm that closed down LP Field for hours!
We have a TON of footage and pictures to share with you but with all of the festivities and lack of internet connection in the hotels and media rooms it is going to be hard to get the website updated properly.
We have been all a Twitter though. To keep up with the most up to date information be sure to follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/cmtt
As you can see from the crazy night at LP Field last night – we will keep you up to date with all of the happenings on CMA Fest. And we promise to have all of the special stories, interviews and surprises posted for you next week!
Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley & Brad Paisley – you rock and your fans will forever love you. Thank you for waiting the rain out for HOURS to come back and sing for us. You have no idea what it meant to us. You guys are the reason that country music fans are so loyal. COUNTRY MUSIC HAS THE GREATEST FANS AND THE GREATEST ARTISTS IN THE WORLD!

Did ABC get its cameras set back up to tape the performances? They’re supposed to be filling 3 hours of programming this year. It’s actually annoying the way they’ve handled the LP Field shows lately. Lots of hold ups because of them and the show doesn’t even turn out that well on TV.
This is out of nowhere but since you ladies are such big Rascal Flatts fans you know that they’re performing at the NFL Kickoff in September right? There’s a billboard on the south side of Herald Square in New York City that mentions the first game being the Steelers against I think it’s the Miami Dolphins. It lists Rascal Flatts and P. Diddy as performing acts. I saw it months ago but keep forgetting to mention it.
Sorry, ignore the Rascal Flatts part of my earlier comment. I did some shecking and it turns out the billboard’s actually 3 years old. RF and Diddy performed for the kickoff in 2006, the last time the Steelers won the Super Bowl.

Sorry for the tease.
Ha I saw Dierks and Brad in Boston on Friday night…….pretty sure dierks was wearing that same exact outfit!!! he looks sexy even if he is wearing the same clothes hes been wearing for several days. love love love him.
[...] Darius Rucker played his first CMA Fest on Thursday, and all I can say is WOW!!! He ran through the crowd, and had everyone up on their feet…Dierks worked it like always, and you could tell he was having the time of his life. You can read more about the show in Country Girl’s earlier post. [...]
Darius Rucker Stole the show with “Family Tradition”! That was the best moment of the whole week. And I did NOT like him before that performance. Him jumping down and running into the fans to sing that chorus was The Highlight. Especially after waiting out the rain that showed up and hour and a half late!!
