The Grand Ole Opry Wins!

The gals here at CMTT made our way down to Greer Stadium for the 19Th Annual City Of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge. The game is the unofficial kick-off to CMA Fest and benefits the City Of Hope, a comprehensive cancer research center.  The Grand Ole Opry Team consisted of Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Trailer Choir, Josh Turner, Chuck Wicks, Craig Morgan, Josh Carter, Troy Gentry and many others. The After Midnight Team had Joe Nichols, Julianne Hough, Jake Owen, Randy Houser, Josh Gracin, Jason Michael Carroll, Zach Carter, Darius Rucker, Jimmy Wayne just to name a few. Both teams had members of the Tennessee Titans football team as well.

Joe Nichols took the field and was on fire making the first three outs by himself but he lost steam in the middle of the game and bobbled the ball. Chuck Wicks got to pitch one to his girlfriend Julianne Hough- those two are just too cute together. Jimmy Wayne took a picture of the crowd for a twitter update.  The night was a lot of fun and ultimately the Opry team took the big win 11-5. After the game, many of the celebs stayed for a quite a while to sign autographs and pose for pictures. You can check out our pictures on our flicker account.

Country Girl and Tawny were able to get some good interviews, they will be posting them later this week. We were also able to get some really cool items for the auction as well.

Very mature of you to draw on Carrie Underwood’s picture. Only not.

Thanks for the rest of the pictures.

That wasn’t us that drew on Carrie Underwood’s picture. It was a member of the rival team meant to be friendly banter between the teams- we just found humor in it. We didn’t mean to offend anyone by it.

It was Keith Anderson who drew the picture of Carrie’s face. It was all in good fun and in the name of charity.

Oh OK. Keith and Carrie are really good friends.

A little explanation in the caption would’ve been nice then because it makes you look disrespectful.
